The Pine Bluff Art League will host a reception for the family and friends of participants in the second annual “Top of the Middle” art exhibition from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center.
Middle school and high school students from the Pine Bluff area submitted work in various mediums and were voted on by the members of the Pine Bluff Art League to determine the overall Best of Show. Participation in the exhibition has grown each year as more schools and students respond. This year looks to have 60 pieces of art exhibited from six area schools.
Mayor Debe Hollingsworth will read a proclamation proclaiming April 13, to be the Pine Bluff Art League’s second annual Top of the Middle Day. The goal set by the league is to bring awareness to the importance of art in education and to help the students express their hopes and dreams through their participation in the art program.
