Officers to raise money for Special Olympics


Law enforcement and fire fighters will unit to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Arkansas during the Boots & Badges event at Walmart Supercenter in Pine Bluff.

Officers will be holding boots and buckets collecting donations, selling hotdogs and drinks and promoting Special Olympics from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 27, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 28.

The Cummins Prison Band will be featured entertainment from 3 to 8 p.m. June 27.

Volunteers from the Arkansas Department of Correction, Arkansas State Police, Pine Bluff Police Department, Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, White Hall Police Department and Redfield Police Department will participate.
