Fourth Ward Alderman Steven Mays, a member of the Pine Bluff City Council, recently attended the Arkansas Municipal League’s 80th Summer Convention in Little Rock.
The convention was for all mayors, aldermen, city managers, and city directors and is part of the league’s Certified Continuing Education Program.
Attendees received three hours of certified continuing education credits. The topic of the class was “Why Does Ethics Matter in City Government?”
Mays has 41 credit hours towards his 21 credit hour core curriculum to become a certified public official. He also received a certificate of appreciation award for serving on the Advisory Council for Large First Class Cities in Arkansas.
