There will be a meeting of the Local Emergency Planning Committee on Thursday, April 24, at 9 a.m. in the training room at the Jefferson County Emergency Operations Center at the county courthouse.
The role of LEPC is to form a partnership between local government and industry as a resource for enhancing hazardous materials preparedness. Input from the members of the LEPC is particularly important.
County Judge Dutch King, LEPC chairman, encourages each member to bring up matters to discuss in the meeting.
RSVP to the Office of Emergency Management at 541-5470.
