The Arkansas State Highway Commission approved a bid for improvements to a roadway in Bradley County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department officials and County Judge Keith Neely.
Crews will resurface 1.7 miles of County Road 2 from just east of County Road 4 (Ingalls-Marsden Road) to east of County Road 134.
R. Thompson, Inc. of Hamburg was awarded the contract at $598,401.14. Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. The project will be complete by summer 2014.
This county road project is funded through the State Aid Road Program established by the legislature and administered by the State Aid Division of the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. Additional travel information can be found at ArkansasHighways.com.
