The Arkansas Health Connector will host an enrollment fair on Thursday, Feb. 27 to assist Altheimer area residents with enrollment in health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace. The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Altheimer City Hall and is open to the public.
“As a guide organization for the Arkansas Health Connector, we are pleased to host an enrollment fair for affordable health insurance,” Eva McGee, In person guide supervisor of Jefferson, Lincoln, and Cleveland counties, said. “This is an opportunity for residents to get information about the new health insurance law and get enrollment assistance.”
Those attending the event can meet with trained, licensed guides to get enrollment assistance. Attendees can complete applications and get information about how much assistance they may qualify for to assist with insurance premiums.
To be eligible to enroll, a person must be between the ages of 18 and 64, live in the U.S., and must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully present. Anyone who plans to enroll should be prepared with:
• Birthdate and Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants) for each member of household
• Employer and income information for every member of the household (for example, pay stubs, W-2 forms, wage and tax statements)
“This event is a great opportunity for people to “Get In” and enroll in health insurance. I encourage anyone who doesn’t have health insurance to attend,” said McGee.
