The Arkansas Fair Housing Commission will tour the state to perform an assessment to help address the housing needs of residents.
Town hall meetings in Southeast Arkansas will be held:
• Pine Bluff, Tuesday, Sept. 16, 5 to 7 p.m., Holiday Inn Express, 2903 Pines Mall Drive.
• Sheridan, Thursday, Sept. 11, 5 to 7 p.m., Community Center, 1511 S. Rose St., Sheridan.
The general public is invited to attend to ensure that neighborhoods in Arkansas communities become and remain strong.
The AFHC Four Corners Tour is part of an initiative with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is designed to share and gather information on statewide fair housing and fair lending issues, affordable housing and accessible housing.
The program will explore how to create and maintain sustainable neighborhoods and share information on HUD’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing new rule and discuss its impact on communities.
