Cotton to speak at Cleveland County GOP event


RISON — Fourth District Congressman Tom Cotton, R-Dardanelle will be the keynote speaker Saturday at the Cleveland County Republican Party’s first political event.

The Lincoln Day observance will begin with a reception from 6-7 p.m. Saturday, followed by dinner and speakers from 7 until 9:30 p.m. in the exhibit building at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, said Jimmy Cummings, party chairman.

There will be candidates for several state-wide offices in attendance, including candidates for governor, lieutenant governor, Congress, state auditor, secretary of state and treasurer, he added. District 27 state Rep. Andy Mayberry, R-Hensley, will serve as the master of ceremonies.
