Career Central Program begins at SEARK

Southeast Arkansas College has announced its Career Central program, SEARK’s new virtual career center powered by Symplicity’s Career Services Manager.

CSM enhances how information is shared and processed within the college and between students and employers. Career Central is free to employers, SEARK students and alumni.

CSM allows employers to manage all their recruiting activities with SEARK from a single, integrated web space. Once employers are registered, they can post jobs, request applications or receive résumés through Career Central. Once a student registers, they can check for job postings, check announcements for upcoming activities and events (e.g. Career Fairs or Informational Sessions), use the Résumé Builder for developing their résumé and/or cover letter, and connect directly with the website for Arkansas JobLink.

Employers and students can register by visiting the college’s website at www.seark.edu, and scroll down to the bottom right of the main page, and click on Career Central to register as an employer or as a student/alumni.

SEARK College requires its graduating students to register and utilize the college’s online career center services prior to graduating.

“Career Central provides our graduates with an online source to assist in seeking and obtaining employment and gives potential employers a qualified pool of applicants,” Nerva Copeland, Education Career Counselor at SEARK, said. “This program is a ‘win-win’ for all involved.”

The Career Services Office, located in the Advisement Center of the Student Services Building, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Students and graduates are welcomed to use a computer in the Advisement Center to review the site. Details: Contact Nerva Copeland at 543-5914.
