Burnett earns scholarship

Sha’Keiria Burnett was recently awarded a University Scholarship from the Office of Recruitment at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.

A 2014 honor graduate of Pine Bluff High, Burnett ranked number 10 in her class. Burnett is the daughter of Julius Burnett Jr. and LaTricia Porter and will major in engineering at UAPB.

In high school she was a member of Family Career and Community Leaders of America, History Club, and the National Honor Society. She was also a cheerleader and a member of the track team.

To be eligible for the University Scholarship, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 23 and grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The scholarship pays full tuition and room and board.
