Blood drives to be held in Southeast Arkansas


The American Red Cross encourages eligible individuals to support humanitarian efforts by making an appointment to donate blood. All blood types are needed, especially O positive, O negative, B negative and A negative. Upcoming blood donation opportunities include:

Arkansas County

May 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at DeWitt High School, DeWitt.

Cleveland County

May 29 from 2-6 p.m. at Hall-Morgan Veterans Building, Rison.

Dallas County

May 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Dallas County Medical Center, Fordyce.

May 27 from 12:30-5:30 p.m. at Dallas County Medical Center, Fordyce.

Grant County

May 22 from noon-5 p.m. at Centria- Sheridan, Sheridan.

Jefferson County

May 5 from 1-5 p.m. at American Red Cross, 1610 W. 42nd Ave., in Pine Bluff.

May 19 from 1-5 p.m. at American Red Cross, 1610 W. 42nd Ave., Pine Bluff.

May 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Evergreen Packaging, 5201 Fairfield Road, Pine Bluff.

Lincoln County

May 6 from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Star City.

Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in Arkansas), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
