The Pine Bluff Arsenal will hold its annual turkey hunting lottery at 12:30 p.m. March 31, at the National Guard Reserve Center, near the Creasy Complex outside Plainview Gate. The installation’s turkey season will run from April 19-21.
All applicants will be required to have a valid Arkansas hunting license, proof of acceptable hunter’s safety course, an Arsenal Natural Resources Permit and picture badge before being allowed to hunt on the Arsenal.
Applicants must pay $15 for a PBA Natural Resources Permit to hunt. A background check will be run on applicants who have not had a check performed within the last year. Ten names will be randomly selected for the three-day authorized spring gobbler season.
Applicants are required to attend the drawing and will only be allowed to represent themselves. Selected applicants must attend the hunter’s safety briefing immediately after the lottery drawing to be authorized to hunt on the Arsenal during the turkey season. All turkey harvested on the Arsenal must be legally checked through the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and recorded properly at the Arsenal Check Station before leaving the post. Participants must comply with all Arkansas Game and Fish Commission gaming regulations.
