The Arkansas Soybean Association will hold its 50th Annual Business Session and Seminar on Jan. 28 at the Grand Prairie Center, 2709 U.S. 165 in Stuttgart. Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m. The program will begin at 9 a.m. and will conclude in mid-afternoon. Lunch will be provided by the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board.
The program will include a legislative update from the American Soybean Association, a report from the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board, a report on biodiesel, and an expanded panel discussion on the Race for 100 Soybean Yield Contest and Grow for the Green Soybean Yield Challenge. Scheduled speakers are Danny Murphy, chairman of the American Soybean Association; Shannon Davis, chairman of the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board; and Robert Stobaugh, National Biodiesel Board/United Soybean Board director. The Soybean Association will hold its 50th Annual Business Session of membership. During this meeting, the winners of the 2013 Grow for the Green Yield Challenge will be recognized along with the Race for 100 Bushels/Acre Winners; Nelson Crow, Matt and Sherrie Miles, Eddie Tackett. The 2014 DuPont Young Leader, Adam Cloninger of England, also will be recognized. There will be an expanded panel discussion with the yield contest winners.
Ag business reps will be present to answer your questions. A live auction will be held to raise additional funds for lobbying and special projects. Auction items, provided by members of the soybean industry, include soybean seed, crop protection chemicals, fish cookers, custom applications, pearls and other.
