Agency encourages Arkansans to conserve energy, lower costs

Energy Efficiency Arkansas officials have declared June 23-June 27 “Tighten Up” week, designed to ensure residents are aware of how they can beat the heat and cut costs.

“As temperatures across the state continue to rise, it’s important to keep in mind ways to be more energy efficient to decrease overall utility costs while maintaining comfort,” says JD Lowery, director of the Arkansas Energy Office. “During ‘Tighten Up’ week, we want to educate and engage Arkansans, making it as easy as possible for residents to access the information they need to stay cool this summer.”
