LITTLE ROCK – Tom Nisbett of Pine Bluff and Sammye Owens of Dumas were recently elected to the board of directors of the Arkansas Nonprofit Alliance, the state’s association for nonprofits.
Nisbett, Ph.D., CFRE is the founder and owner of The Nisbett Group (TNG) and founder of eOrchard. TNG services include board governance and development, strategic planning, and executive coaching for nonprofit organizations. eOrchard has an international focus including social enterprise and missions. Nisbett has served as a university vice-president, business school dean, and professor of economics. He provided volunteer leadership as the 2012 president of the Arkansas Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Owen is the executive director of the Dumas Chamber of Commerce. She has served as staff for several nonprofit organizations like Neighbor to Neighbor in Pine Bluff as well as church administration at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock and Trinity Episcopal in Pine Bluff.
The agency also elected Marquita Little of Little Rock, director of Policy and Planning at the Department of Human Services, Officer of the Director in Little Rock.
