BILLY HALL

Billy Roger “Nig” Hall, 75, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at his Home.

He was born Jan. 28, 1934 in Franklin County, Miss., to Willis Lloyd and Willie Marie Ratcliff Hall.

Mr. Hall was reared and educated in Brookhaven, Miss., graduating from Brookhaven High School.

He retired after 36 years from International Paper Company as a maintenance supervisor, having worked at the Natchez, Miss., and Pine Bluff Mills.

After retirement he baled and sold hay and was affectionately known as “The Hay Man.” He also collected bells and was a volunteer cook at the IP Supervisor Club.

He was a member and choir member of East Side Baptist Church, Masonic Blue Lodge in Natchez, Miss., Shriners in Pine Bluff, the York Rite of Little Rock, where he was a 32nd degree Mason and the Roper Hunting Club.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alton “Joby” Lloyd Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Marie Rogillio Hall, whom he married on May 30, 1954, in Natchez, Miss.; daughters, Donna Marie Hall Bradshaw (Jerry) of Maumelle, Dianna Lynne Hall Bailey (Billy) of Heber Springs, Denise Hall Courson (Jerry) of Star City; sisters, Donna Margaret Hall of Greenwood, Miss., Barbara Hall Leigh of Natchez, Miss., Rachel Sonja Hall Murray (Edward Lee) of Natchez, Miss.; grandchildren, Meridith Leigh Hamilton of Little Rock, Allen Corey Neal II of Little Rock, Cody Bryan Stringfellow of Fordyce, Tyler Mackenzie Courson of Star City, Jacob Hall Courson of Star City; and a great-grandchild, Isabella “Bella” Grace Hamilton of Little Rock.

Visitation will be Friday, 5 to 7 p.m. at Robinson's.

Services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with Rev. Ray Edmonson officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
