RENITA TAYLOR

SPOKANE, Wash. — Renita Wimberly Taylor, (Age 51) passed away Oct. 31, 2009, in Spokane, Wash. She was born June 28, 1958, in Pine Bluff, Ark.

“Re” as she was affectionately known was the fourth child of Gale E. Wimberly, Sr. and Luvenia Creggett Wimberly.

She married Mr. Clifton P. Taylor on Aug. 14, 1993, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Re was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for 31 years. All who knew her loved her. She was a woman of great spiritual belief, dignity, elegance and style who never met a stranger and believed in living life to the fullest.

She is survived by her beloved husband, soul mate and best friend, Mr. Clifton P. Taylor of Spokane, Wash.; extraordinary daughter, Kamilah Luvenia Wimberly of Jersey City, N.J.; Mom, Lucy C. Lucas, brothers, Gale E. Wimberly, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Ark., Royce E. Wimberly of Detroit, Mich., and Richard E. (Joyce) Wimberly of Pine Bluff, Ark.; sister, Revolyn F. Wimberly of Pine Bluff, Ark.; nieces, Corlette V. Wimberly, Verette Wimberly, Tamela T. Wimberly, Richleen E. Wimberly; nephews, Brian A. Wimberly and Raimont Wimberly and a host of friends, family and adopted children too numerous to mention by name, but never forgotten in love and spirit. Re also shared a special relationship with her nephew, Jason D. Allen and always had a very special place for him in her heart and life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Luvenia Creggett Wimberly; father, Gale E. Wimberly, Sr. and step-mother, Sadie McCoy Wimberly.

Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, 2101 W. Reeker Ave, Pine Bluff, Ark. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at 2 p.m. also at the Church by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
