Jewel Gordon-Powell

ARKADELPHIA — Jewel Dean Gordon-Powell, 66, of Arkadelphia, died Saturday at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia.

She was born May 9, 1943, at Sherrill, a daughter of the late Rev. William and Earthie L. Hill Gordon.

Survivors: daughters, Jada Powell-Spittler and Jerri Powell-Spittler, both of Arkadelphia; brother, Donald Gordon of Pine Bluff, sister, Vernell Sharkey of Phoenix; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Morriah Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Moody Sr. officiating. Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Williams Funeral Home at Arkadelphia.

Visitation: 1-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family visitation: 6-7 p.m.
