THOMAS ASHMORE

STAR CITY — Thomas Edward Ashmore, 75, of Star City died Friday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.

He was born Feb. 27, 1934 in Lincoln County to the late Boyd and Agnes Beckwith Ashmore.

He was retired and a Baptist.

Mr. Ashmore was also preceded in death by a brother, James Ashmore.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Ashmore of Star City; a son, Randy Ashmore and wife Brinda of Star City; two daughters, Renee Blanner and husband Doug of Warren, Tyronza Hudson and husband Rusty of Star City; one brother, Dale Ashmore, also of Star City. Other survivors include two sisters, Margie Bubbus and husband Dan of Searcy, Barbara Ellen of Eugene, Ore.; grandchildren Cory Ashmore, Stacy Bunch and husband Bradley, A.J. McIntyre, Megan Dial-McGriff, Morgan Dial; and great-grandchildren Shawn Ashmore, Mallory Bunch, Marley Bunch and Jaxon McGriff.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
