STAR CITY — Steven Francis Carter, 59, of Star City died Thursday at Gardner Nursing Home.

He was born Feb. 8, 1950, at Muroc, Calif., a son of Laverne Calhoun Carter and the late Francis M. Carter.

Other survivors include son, Shaun Carter; daughter, Kimberly Roig; and sisters, Patricia Carter Dabbs and Virginia Carter Nunn.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Drake Cemetery at Star City with Elmer Byerly officiating. Arrangements are by Griffin Funeral Service at Star City.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
