DUMAS — Mr. John Anthony Norman, 54, of Dumas died Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Born May 5, 1955, in Dumas, he was a son of George W. Norman Sr. of Columbia, Mo., and the late Joyce Owens Norman.
He was a member of Free Gift Baptist Church in Dumas, where he served as a trustee. He was a retired supervisor for Kimberly Clark Corp., of La Grange, Ga., a member of Evening Star Lodge No. 233 and Phillips Johnson Elks Lodge No. 1617.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Watts-Norman of Dumas; one son, Laron Norman of Little Rock; three daughters, Tracia Anderson of Kansas City, Mo., Charity Grace Norman of Corinth, Miss., and Ashleigh Daniels of Snellville, Ga.; seven brothers, Wendall Norman of Broken Arrow, Okla., Robert Norman of Milwaukee, Octavius Norman of St. Louis, Mo., Peter Norman, George W. Norman Jr., Edward Norman, Jason Norman, all of Columbia, Mo.; two sisters, Lisa Turner and Lori Tatum, both of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church in Dumas with Rev. Velerick Watts officiating. Burial will be in Free Gift Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The body will lie in state at the church from 9:30 until time of services.
