DEATHS FOR SUNDAY, JULY 20, 2008

Allie Holder

Allie D. Holder, resident of Pine Bluff, died on 27th June 2008.

Her daughter, Mary Ida Dotson and son-in-law Everette Dotson is who she was living with in Pine Bluff.

Ms. Holder attended the Forrest Park Assembly of God for a while and then First Christian Church of Pine Bluff. She is a charter member of the Magnolia Miss., Church of God.

She also attended the DAR meetings in Stuttgart, Ark., with her daughter, Mary Ida Dotson, Chapter of Arkansas Post, DeWitt, Ark.

She has two sisters living and one brother out of seven children; a daughter of Pine Bluff; two sons of Pike County, Miss., five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.

Local arrangements were by Fuller-Hale South at Pine Bluff.

Benjamin Thompson

MORRILTON — Benjamin Lee Thompson, 65, of Morrilton died July 14 at the Morrilton Retirement Center.

He was born May 31, 1943 at Rison, a son of John Wesley Thompson and Versie Middleton Thompson.

Other survivors include one daughter, April Thompson; two brothers, Ruben Thompson and Faymire Thompson; two sisters, Christine Henry and Brenda Thompson Collier; and one granddaughter, Heather Cuervas.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Henson Mortuary with the Rev. Stephen Christian officiating. Burial will be in the veterans section of Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

Victor Harris

BRADENTON, Fla. — Victor Samuel Harris, 51, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Pine Bluff, died June 12.

He was born Dec. 19, 1957, a son of the late Earl H. Harris Sr. and Marian Brooks Harris.

Survivors include two brothers, Earl H. Harris Jr. of Oakland, Calif., and Herbert E. Harris of Pine Bluff.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Andre Harris.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John AME Church at Pine Bluff with the Rev. Kenneth Banks officiating. Cremation arrangements were by The Good Earth Crematory at Bradenton.

Rebecca Cross, 76, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Davis West Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.

Broderick Kyle Monk, 21, of Pine Bluff died Saturday. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Perry Funeral Home.

James Edward "Jimmy" Nelson, 62, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Arrangements will be announced by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
