Jayla Alexander and Bronshay Winston of Pine Bluff announce the birth of a daughter, Nevaeh Marie Winston, on Oct. 1 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical Center at Little Rock. Grandparents are Stephanie Laws and Reshon Black, both of Pine Bluff.

More than 200 area students attend ACT Prep workshops

More than 200 students recently attended the ACT Prep workshops held at Pine Bluff High School Cafeteria. The workshops were sponsored by the Ivy Center for Education Inc., a local non-profit youth mentoring program whose mission includes promoting excellence in academics and character and ACT preparation for college-bound students.
