PBHS Class of 1960 discusses classmates in county government

The Pine Bluff High School Class of 1960 met recently at Wright’s Ranch House BBQ on Dollarway Road.

Barbara Rogers Langrell gave the blessing for the evening.

Those attending were Marie Brown Jones and guest, J.W. Anderson, Janice Helvie Tiner, guest, Shelia Nelson Pitts, Arlie and Barbara Rogers Langrell, Bill and Norma Ridgway Ray, Bob and Lanora Porter, Linda and Doug Smith, Mike Barbarotto, Suzette and Herman Ginger and Jean Melton Smith.

The group discussed the new fire station at White Hall being named in honor of former Fire Chief Ned Tomboli. There has also been a fire truck in Pine Bluff named in honor of former Alderman Bob Atkinson. There are also two other classmates in Jefferson County government, including Jitters Morgan, former mayor of White Hall, and Dr. Herman Ginger, a member of the Quorum Court.

The next get-together will be at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Wright’s Ranch House BBQ. All classmates and visitors are urged to come and enjoy the fun and fellowship.
