Kiwanis Club installs officers, inducts new member


The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff recently held the annual installation of officers at its regular meeting.

John Henry, Division 22 lieutenant governor, installed the following officers: President, Chris Cummings; vice president, Claudia Russell; treasurer, Billy Stone; secretary, Claudia Russell; and immediate past president, Karen Cash. Board of directors installed were Phil McBee, Celeste Smith, Mary McBee, Bill Reid and Nina Hunt.

Cash thanked the club for its support during the year and Cummings outlined his plans for the coming year.

Perfect attendance awards were given to Cash, John Henry, Phil McBee, Barbara Rhinehart, Bob Rhinehart, Claudia Russell and Billy Stone.

Bobby Acklin, superintendent of Dollarway School District, was inducted as a new member. Members of his staff presented him with a gift for Bosses’ Day. Other new members will be inducted at future meetings.

The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff meets at noon each Wednesday at the Pine Bluff Country Club. Its mission is the Pine Bluff community and its children. Those interested in becoming a member, should contact Russell at 870-329-4559.
