Honoring veterans

Members of the American Legion Post 232 at White Hall place U.S. flags on graves of all veterans buried in the White Hall Methodist Cemetery. Participants May 27 were, from left, Pat Freeman, John Aronowitz, Post Commander Glen Minor, Ron Powell and Tim Cooney, who placed the flag on his own family’s gravesite. Not pictured were Roy Elliot and John Henry. This is a project the post has held for several years to remember all those who sacrificed to keep the country free. (Special to The Commercial)
