Relyance Crown Club tours Savannah

Historic Savannah, the “Belle of Georgia” and the Golden Isles of Georgia were the destination recently for 48 members and guests of the Relyance Bank Crown Club. A lunch stop at Jason’s Deli was a treat on their first day of travel to Birmingham, Alabama.

Dance/theater work to be presented at McGehee

CORE Performance Co. will present its new dance/theater work, “Gaman,” at several sites in Arkansas. In Southeast Arkansas, the performance will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at McGehee High School Auditorium at McGehee. The event is free and open to the public.

Kiwanis to meet Nov. 11

The Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff will meet at noon Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Pine Bluff Country Club. In honor of Veterans Day, the speaker will be Staff Sgt. Courtney Thomas of the National Guard recruiting office.

Former PB mayor fighting rare condition

Six in 100,000 people in a population have progressive supranuclear palsy. The disease, shortened to PSP, is a progressive neurological disorder that affects the tau protein function in the brain, causing lesions to form, and inhibiting normal cognitive and motor function.
