The Willing Workers Extension Homemakers Club of White Hall recently went on a fellowship trip to North Little Rock and Little Rock.
Their first stop was at the Old Mill in North Little Rock where they enjoyed the beautiful landscape and watched a future bride during a photo shoot. They enjoyed learning the history of the Old Mill and that it was in the opening scene of the movie, “Gone With the Wind.”
Their next stop was Steinmart for a little shopping. They enjoyed lunch at David’s Burgers in North Little Rock.
Those making the trip were Brynn Koschel, trip coordinator, Sarah Payton, Marnette Reed, Catherine Atkinson, Frances Taylor, guest, Carol Hastings, a member of Lunch Bunch EHC, and Mary Ann Kizer, family and consumer science agent and county adviser for EHC. Member Dee Kindrick joined the group at its next stop which was the River Market.
After checking out the market, they went to the State House Museum and enjoyed touring it. Their last adventure of the day was boarding the trolley for a round trip from Little Rock over to North Little Rock and back.
The Willing Workers Extension Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the White Hall Library. For more information about Extension Homemakers, contact Kizer at 870-534-1033 or any member of the club.
