Pine Bluff Christian Women’s Connection will hold its monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
The special feature will be Michael Bohner, store manager of Sissy’s Log Cabin in Pine Bluff. Bohner, his wife, Lindi and their two children, Carson and Julia came to Pine Bluff from Daytona Beach, Fla. After spending 12 years as a professional opera singer, Bohner entered the jewelry business almost 20 years ago. He worked several years on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Fla., and also as a general manager of one of the largest independent jewelers in the eastern United States.
Bohner willl be singing for the Christian Women’s Connection. He has several CDs and is part of a gospel quartet in the area.
The speaker will be Victoria Burks of Oklahoma. Her topic will be “Turning Ashes into Beauty.” Burks, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, is a business co-owner, active in her church and community, and speaker for various women’s groups. In her spare time she indulges in her passion to write inspirational romantic suspense.
Educated at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Burks resides in Oklahoma with her husband of almost 40 years, William. In November 2010, her first novel “A Legacy of Love” was released. Her second novel, “Bittersweet Justice” was released in the fall of 2011.
