Sherry E. Livingston, Ms. Arkansas United States 2014, will present a talk and signing of her book, “Beautiful Ashes: A Journey to Divine Healing”, at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at The Pines mall.
To help build faith on divine healing through biblical confessions, Livingston wrote “Beautiful Ashes” – a book about how she overcame her battle with HPV, depression and an unhealthy lifestyle.
“For years I knew I would be responsible for sharing my testimony because scripture tells us that we overcome by the word of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb. I was 19 years old when I was diagnosed with HPV and that diagnosis changed my life.”
“Beautiful Ashes: A Journey to Divine Healing” is published by Living New Publishers. Livingston said her book will help readers gain confidence in their covenant with God.
“It’s a very scary feeling to expose embarrassing details about something so private but as years pass, I realize more and more it’s not about me. Everyday teenagers and adults are losing hope because of the mistakes they make out of ignorance or because they are blinded by darkness.”
Having spent several years battling HPV and depression, Livingston was inspired to write her book when she witnessed the healing of a friend who she had earlier shared her journey with.
“Of all experiences, nothing gave me better joy than to know that God could use me to minister to someone else who was suffering with something that had been one of the most devastating experiences of my life,” she said.
Her book targets anyone who has lost hope through their personal battles with illness and disease and is packed with confessions to build faith. In addition, a portion of book sales are set to benefit CASA Women’s Shelter.
“I pray that anyone who reads this book will have the same grace on their lives that I have on mine.”
