Progressive Women’s Association holds monthly meeting

Members and guests of the Progressive Women’s Association met recently at the Relyance Bank White Hall branch for their monthly meeting and sack lunch.

Missy Rosen, daughter of member Nancy Rosen, was a special guest at the meeting.

Linda Eifling, president, conducted the business meeting. It was decided that the group would stop doing Secret Sisters and replace it with selling chances for birthday gifts brought by those celebrating birthdays that month.

Community service for the holidays consisted of donations to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree as well as donations to the White Hall Food Pantry. A day trip to Shreveport was planned by Jan Adam, travel chairman.

The dollar pot was won by Nancy Rosen who donated it back to the organization. Door prizes were won by Missy Rosen, Eifling and Nancy Rosen.

Several days after the meeting, the organization celebrated with a festive family Christmas Party at the White Hall City Hall. Several Christmas centerpieces were auctioned off. Dirty Santa was enjoyed by young and old alike.
