Plans for WH All-Classmates Reunion set at recent meeting

A meeting was held recently to start formulating plans for this year’s annual White Hall All-Classmates reunion.

A request has been submitted to the White Hall School Board for use of the high school cafeteria facilities for this occasion.

A financial report was presented by Gladys O’Brien Clark. Ann Rinehart Musgrove contacted caterers for this year and it was voted on to use Moore’s BBQ of White Hall for the banquet.

It was decided that door gifts will be presented to all paid attendees to the reunion.

The decision was made to hold the reunion in basically the same format as the previous 16 years, with the decoration party from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 26 with a pay-as-you go meal following at The Lighthouse in White Hall.

The invitational letter was reviewed and will be printed up for the meeting on July 21. The program will be designed by William Henry and forwarded to be printed up also.

The cost of the reunion remains at $20, which covers the caterer, expenses and gifts. The cost for those paying after Sept.15 will be $25.

There will be a table honoring the class of 1964 members on their 50th graduation anniversary.

The following people were in attendance — Musgrove, Buddy and Jean Skipworth and their great-grandson, Dylon Wayne Goad, LaRue and William Henry, Nannette Arnold Shinn, Joe Stikeleather, Marynell Cardin, Jackie Henderson Barringer, Bob Barringer, and Clark. Classes represented were from 1948 to 1959.

The next meeting, which is the working meeting will be held at 6 p.m. July 21 at the White Hall Library. Any and all volunteers are encouraged to attend.
