Rev. James M. Lamb, Pine Bluff author, has written his third book.
His new book, “Black” is a most amazing epic journey from the genius empires of black people to the present-day struggles that all Americans face.
Lamb will be the featured Arkansas author of the month in a book-signing event from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Jan. 11 at the Pyramid Book Store Pyramid Art, Books and Custom Framing at Little Rock.
Lamb will also be available to sign his new book Sunday at Grace Evangelical Baptist Church, 4210 Ohio St. The book signing is a part of the Kwanzaa celebration from noon to 1 p.m.

Lamb works for the Arkansas Department of Correction at the Varner Unit where he is the clinical supervisor of the Substance Abuse Program. He has worked for DOC for the last 16 years. He attended City College of San Francisco, The American Baptist Seminary of the West and UC Berkeley. He also worked at San Quentin State Prison and San Francisco County jails. He lives in Pine Bluff with his wife, Lashauna.
