The P.E.O. Chapter AU/BZ recently met in the home of Dorothy Lockheart, with Cathy Walker and Sarah Clifton serving as hostesses.
President Jo Neal called the meeting to order and Lynn Castleberry called the roll and gave the financial report. There were 27 members present.
Jane Arnold reported that Cottey College students have represented 40 states and 25 countries. Bea Robey reported on the PSA Scholar Award. This scholarship is awarded to ladies pursuing a doctoral level degree at an accredited college or university.
Marilyn McKelvey reported on the group’s Educational Loan Foundation. Since its beginning in 1906, loans have been approved totaling $145,109,759. Castleberry reported that Traci Isgrig has been selected to apply for a PCE scholarship.
Elaine Dial asked that everyone interested in touring Cottey College get their reservations in. Castleberry said the pecans would be in around the first of November and would sell for $9 per pound. Those interested in ordering pecans are asked to call 870-540-7893.
