The Pine Bluff Quilter’s Guild will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4200 Old Warren Road, for its annual Christmas Party.
Annette Rushing will present the special musical program for the gathering. The prize drawings for the “show-and-tell” and “projects half done” baskets will be held and the secret pals will be revealed. December will also be the only month that members may sign up for next year’s secret pal program. Lunch is a planned meal provided by various members.
The fat quarter choice for December is winter prints. At any time, white, white-on-white or beige or beige-on-beige fabric is accepted. Everyone is encouraged to bring a fat quarter (18-by-22 inches) of 100 percent cotton.
In the afternoon, members will play dirty Santa for handmade Christmas ornaments. Everyone wishing to participate is asked to bring a wrapped ornament.
The Pine Bluff Quilter’s Guild has an annual membership fee of $20. Anyone interested in learning the art of quilt- making is welcome to come, visit and become a member, according to a club spokesman. Membership is open to all who are interested in quilting and no prior experience is needed.
The purpose of the Pine Bluff Quilter’s Guild is to ensure the continuity of the craft by teaching the techniques of quilting, and to encourage, and promote an interest in quilting to the public.
Guests are always welcomed.
