Rod Clemmons, a native of Pine Bluff, and Verdict Records will present the national launch of “The Verdict Vision Tour” at 8 p.m. June 12 at Little Rock’s Robinson Center Auditorium.
Clemmons is the son of Faye Clemmons, an educator, and the late Hubert Clemmons, former head basketball coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Other Verdict artists performing during this event will include contemporary gospel/R&B innovator, Dan Kenneth, and Caribbean/R&B diva, Bernadette Lawrence.
“I am so honored to contribute my music and life story to champion SEVA’s work. When they approached me soon after the release of my debut CD, “What’s Up? It’s Me,” I jumped at the opportunity to become a part of something like this,” Clemmons said.
“I’ve worked with Rod now for about three years recording and also performing. I’m honored to be a part of something that can have such an impact on so many,” Kenneth said.
Lawrence said, “I’ve worked with Rod as a producer label president and music director for more than 12 years. This tour event is such a thrill for me to be a part of.
Power 92’s Broadway Joe will be host the event.
The concert will benefit the SEVA Foundation’s work to prevent and eradicate blindness. The foundations’s website is http://www.seva.org.
Tickets are $43 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster at ticketmaster.com or by calling 501-244-8800, and at the Robinson Center box office.
