The Pine Bluff Art League will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the A/B Room at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. Attendees are asked to use the Third Avenue entrance.
Linda Lewis, a local artist and longtime member of the PBAL, will be the guest speaker. Lewis will present a program on painting animals in oil and acrylic and the importance of using value as a means of adding volume and texture, especially on fur, feathers and hair, using a limited palette to produce harmony and knowing your subject.
There will be light refreshments and a brief business meeting after the program.
A “Palette knife, Brush and Acrylic workshop” with Pat Sheffield will be held July 16. The fee is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. There will be a sign-up sheet at the July meeting.
In August, Shirley Anderson of Hot Springs Village will teach a pastel workshop in the A/B Room. The cost is $60.
