Katrina Tate, organizer and daughter of Hart, said the walk was a success. “The weather was good and the turnout was great. We had some first-time walkers, one in which is a recent breast cancer survivor,” she said.
Tate said her daughter drives from Dallas to support the walk in honor of her grandmother.
“I am just thankful to God for giving me this vision. I will walk for the cause every year. I am also thankful to my kids family and the community for all of their support,” Tate said.
