Officers presented at Progressive Women’s Association meeting

The Relyance Bank in White Hall was the setting for the recent meeting and luncheon of the Progressive Women’s Association.

Brenda Doucey decorated the tables with Barbie dolls dressed in crocheted dresses, and Nancy Rosen provided a centerpiece of orange artificial roses in a basket. Margie Murphy’s food group provided the meal with fried chicken being the main dish.

Linda Eifling, president, conducted the business session. There were many positive comments about the Business Associate/Woman of the Year Event. Betsy Foster presented the following slate of officers for the 2014-2015 year: president, Eifling; vice president, Linda Hurd; secretary, Rosen; and treasurer, Jan Adam.

Adam, travel chairman, announced that a day trip was planned.

Door prizes were won by Sydney Foster and Rosen. Bonnie Rhodes won the dollar pot and donated it back to the group.

Sydney Foster, who is the granddaughter of Betsy Foster, was a special guest at the meeting.
