Memorial Day service set for Sunday in Graceland Cemetery


American Legion Post 32, along with other veterans’ organizations, will hold a Memorial Day service at 2 p.m. Sunday in the veterans plot of Graceland Cemetery.

The ceremony will honor veterans of all wars, from the Revolutionary War to the present, and recognize all branches of the military. The event will also include a military reenactment.

The featured speaker will be Dutch King, Jefferson County judge. A flyover will be conducted by the Black Pilots Association. A wreath-laying presentation and flag ceremony will he held in honor of deceased veterans.
