“Sheep Ears”, a book by Pine Bluff author Sherry Witt, develops fascinating and true stories from her life that were the result of her using her own sheep ears.
“Everyone has the ability to hear the good shepherd,” Witt said during a meeting recently with Georgia Watley, coordinator of special collections services in the John Brown Watson Memorial library at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
A book review and signing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in the John Brown Watson Memorial library on UAPB’s campus. Copies of “Sheep Ears” will be available for purchase at this free, public event.
This first book by Witt develops numerous real-life stories that chronicle what happened when she listened and responded with her sheep ears. Each story is accompanied with related questions and biblical answers that may be used by churches, families, or as games with friends. Her lively persona engages the reader immediately and makes the book a page-turner.
“We are guided daily to help our neighbors, friends or even strangers,” continued Witt, “but we must listen with our sheep ears.”
