Grand Prairie Quilt Society hosts annual Christmas party

The Grand Prairie Quilt Society met recently for its annual Christmas party at the Stuttgart Public Library with 10 members present.

December birthday greetings were extended to those with birthdays. The group enjoyed a festive lunch of Christmas goodies and snacks with lots of visiting and exchanging of recipes.

Audrey Carlin gave a demonstration on making a Christmas elf ornament. She then surprised everyone with a gift of an elf to take home for their tree.

During the Round Robin game, much merriment ensued with members sometimes unsure of their right or left with many moans of dismay and squeals of excitement as the game progressed.

The next meeting will be a Sit’n Sew from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 8 at the Stuttgart Public Library.
