Fort Smith author to speak at PB Christian Women’s Connection luncheon

Pine Bluff Christian Women’s Connection will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pine Bluff Country Club.

The featured speaker will be Pat Geren of Fort Smith. The topic of her presentation will be “Perfect Fit, No Alterations Needed.”

Geren is a professional seamstress for interior decorators in the Fort Smith area. Through the encouragement of her grandmother, she began sewing at a very early age when her grandmother bought her embroidery hoops, needles and thread to help pass the time when she had measles at age 4. She specializes in window treatments, pillows and bedding.

Geren is also the author of a new book, “Storm Clouds and Rainbows,” and one audio CD. She teaches a Women’s Life Group and works with women who are going through divorce, struggling with a second marriage or just need encouragement. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and retreats.

She resides at Fort Smith with her husband, John. Together they have five sons, five daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

To make reservations or cancellations, contact Mary Bearden at 870-489-4710. The cost of the luncheon is $13.50, which includes the meal, tax and gratuity.
