The Episcopal Church Women of Trinity Episcopal Church, 703 W. Third Ave., recently presented their “A Taste of Trinity” event.
An annual fall tradition of Trinity, the event included a bake shop, casserole shop and treasure room. A luncheon was also served which included “Salad Three Ways” — baked chicken salad, cranberry chutney and marinated vegetable salad — rolls, pumpkin mousse with caramel sauce, coffee and iced tea.
A hand-thrown pottery tray imprinted with crosses was donated by Miller’s Mud Mill in Dumas as part of the fundraising activities. Fall centerpieces on the serving tables were also offered for sale as well as the church cookbook, “A Taste of Trinity.”
Committee chairmen included Alyce Carraway, bake sale; Jane Bettison and Karen Berry, casseroles; Carol Davis and Mac McLemore, luncheon food preparation; Gina DeMoss, servers; Judy Apel, treasures; Peggy McLemore, greeters; Merry Tom Dorris, decorations; Phil McBee and Jeff Carraway, shopper assistance; Linda Griggs and Donna Coker, luncheon tickets; and Beverly Wasson, prize drawing.
