Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church was the setting for the recent meeting of Camden Road Extension Homemakers Club.
Dorothy Green was the hostess and presented the program on “A Happiness Makeover.” All members shared many ideas to find ways for happiness in life.
Marpissa Beard was a guest. Helen Olson gave a demonstration on making a cover out of plastic bags.
A review of the month included the Spring Council Style Show and Nancy Sumner was a model from Camden Road EHC. Kathy Rogers and Judy Cox sold bottled water at Relay for Life at Ridgway High School, with proceeds going to the Red Cross. The birthday bash was at The Cottage in Sheridan for Esta Kealer and Wanda Strickland. Jo Segars decorated two tables for the Salvation Army luncheon. A coffee filter workshop was held at the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension office.
The club voted to bring cereal to the June meeting to give to the summer feeding program. It was also announced that Rogers and Cox would be representatives at the state meeting at Hot Springs.
