Calendar of Events


This is a listing of activities of interest to residents of Southeast Arkansas. Anyone who would like to submit entries for consideration may do so in writing to the Entertainment Calendar, P.O. Box 6469, Pine Bluff, Ark., 71611. Since all activities are subject to change, it would be wise to confirm the activity with the sponsoring organization.

25 — The Pine Bluff Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will present Jabberwock 2014, a talent and variety show, at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Auditorium. Competition is limited to middle/junior high school, high school and college students. 25 — Pine Bluff’s Regional Park will host Polar Palooza: Run, Walk & Wade for Special Olympics. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 11:30 a.m. with check-in at 11:30. The cost is $25. The Ice Water Wade/Plunge begins at 2 p.m. with check-in at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $50. All paid participants will receive a free T-shirt. For more information, contact Travis Chisom at 870-489-3881. 25 — The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Delta Omega Omega Chapter will host the “Emerging Young Leaders Community Summit – The Total Package: Your Toolkit for Success” from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the HPER Complex at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. 30 — The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., will offer its photography I class with Eric Maynard each Thursday through Feb. 20 from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. The cost of the class is $85 for members and $120 for non-members. 7 — The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas will host its “A Taste of the Wildlife” at 6:30 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
