Box 6469, Pine Bluff, Ark., 71611. Since all activities are subject to change, it would be wise to confirm the activity with the sponsoring organization.
18-19 — The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St., will present its summer musical, “Fame, Jr.”, on July 18-19 at 7:30 p.m. and July 20 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for the musical at www.asc701.org or by calling 870-536-3375. Student tickets are only $5 each and groups of 10 or more are also discounted to the $5 per ticket rate.
18-19 — Bastille, master mentalist and hynotist, will present a show at the New Community Theatre, 207 W. Second Ave. at 7:30 p.m. To order tickets visit the website www.communitytheatre.org or call 870-535-2646. The box office opens at 5 p.m. on the day of the performances. Ticket prices are $35 for rear orchestra and $40 for premier orchestra seating.
19 — “Nunny Bag,” presented by Christina Kaya, will be held at 11 a.m. during the Children’s Theatre at the New Community Theatre. Tickets are $5 per child. For tickets and more information call 870-535-2646.
21 — The final preparation meeting for the White Hall High School All-Classmates Reunion will be held at 6 p.m. at the White Hall Library. Anyone wishing to help, is invited to attend. 1-2 — The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St., will combine tinkering and theater to offer another creative opportunity, “TinkerFest Meets TheaterFest,” from 1 to 4 p.m.
5 — The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service is now taking applications for the Extension Wellness Ambassador Program. The Extension Wellness Ambassador training program will be offered over five sessions held Aug. 5, 12, 19, 26, and Sept. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sessions will rotate among locations in Jefferson, Bradley and Cleveland counties. Training begins on Aug. 2 at the Jefferson County Extension Office, 500 S. Idaho St., with instruction on nutrition basics and physical activity. The $40 registration fee covers all training materials. The deadline for applications is July 21.
