Attorney speaks about wills, trusts at PEO meeting

PEO Chapter AUBZ recently met in the home of Ann Hollingsworth. Katy Walt and Vicki Coleman served as hostesses.

The guest speaker was Cary Young, an attorney who spoke about wills and trusts. He explained the need for both a medical power of attorney, as well as, a living will. Wills may be prepared by an attorney or by the individual, providing it is all handwritten. Trusts are also important to ensure assets are distributed as the individual wishes.

President Jo Neal called the meeting to order. There were 29 members present. A request to go inactive was accepted on behalf of Susan Buckner. A memorial offering for Loane Backus was voted on favorably.

Following the meeting, a raffle was held. Members brought new or slightly used items. The meeting was then adjourned.
