The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St., will hold Photography 2 with Eric Maynard classes beginning Thursday and continuing each Thursday through April 10 from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.
Participants will be able to unleash their photographic creativity and push photography to new levels. In Photo 2, participants will learn to have a more creative point of view, learn to manipulate perspective and color, experiment with night photography and painting with light. The class will also cover commercial and street photography. A good working knowledge of the camera is suggested and a willingness to expand photography is required.
The cost of the class is $85 for members and $120 for non-members.
The ASC open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 1-4 p.m., and closed on Sunday and Monday. Gallery admission is free. Support for the center is provided in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Hands-on science exhibitions are offered through ASC’s partnership with Arkansas Discovery Network, a consortium of museums in Arkansas funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
