Shelle Stormoe, education coordinator for the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, will make a presentation on historic preservation to students at L.L. Owen Elementary School on Thursday.
Stormoe will present “History Happened in Arkansas?: National Historic Landmarks of Arkansas,” a program on Arkansas properties that have been designated as National Historic Landmarks, a status reserved only for those properties with transcendent importance in the history of the United States.

The AHPP is the agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage responsible for identifying, evaluating, registering and preserving the state’s cultural resources. Other agencies are the Arts Council, the Delta Cultural Center, the Old State House Muesum, the Natural Heritage Commission, the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center ant the Historic Arkansas Museum.
